Doctor Gentry and his staff at Baker Animal Hospital are life savers. Our little Cole had an intestinal blockage that needed emergency surgery. Once they got in the blockage had wore a hole in his intestine and it was full of infection. Doctor Gentry and his staff got to work asap. They removed the blockage and the section of damaged intestine. Then they cleaned all of the infection out that they could. Cole then after surgery, had a long critical recovery. He came home for weekend and during our care got worse. He was going to be referred to UGA for further treatment and I opted for Doctor Gentry and his staff to keep and treat him the best they could. It took me awhile to post this review because of how emotional this topic makes me. I moved to Hawkinsville GA about four years ago and needed a regular vet for my dog Cowboy. He was a bit high maintenance at times and it felt like I was always there but Dr. Gentry and the whole staff there was always so patient and accommodating. They were always available to me last minute when he started showing signs of pain or had a bout of bloody diarrhea. You just never know what each day might bring and it was so comforting to have a good team at my back. When Cowboy was diagnosed with heart failure in October of 2023, Dr. Gentry helped me stay calm and focused about treating it. By April of 2024 we had reversed the heart damage. We have been very pleased with the services we have received for our cat. We travel often and they have been really good about giving us appointments; sometimes on short notice. Perhaps because we are comparing them to more urban charges, but we have thought their's have been very reasonable. Their veterinarians and staff have always been very courteous and compassionate. We will definitely continue to take our pet to them.
