This shelter is incredible. How they care and love the pets there is so deep. Yesterday, so January 31st we took home Handsome to foster (probably fail 😃) as he had knee surgery on the 30th and needed a clean, comfy safe place to recuperate. Everyone was so wonderful with us. They were truly relieved that he would get the real care he needs to properly heal. As previous dog owners with medical issues we're relatively prepared for the task. The kennels were very clean and organized. It was nice to see all the donations piled up, which is a sign of their deep compassion for the animals within. People don't donate to places that don't care. The reputation of the Babylon shelter is very good and my family totally agrees. Highly recommend this shelter for an animal rescue 🛟. Thank you so much t

My experience here was amazing. This place is clean, thorough background checks, they provided me with ample time to assess 2 puppies I was interested in, and they provided me with the medicine my new puppy needed. I felt supported even when my puppy was ill (I knew this puppy went through a lot in his early life, which they did a great job telling me). Once I told them the medical issues, they were so understanding and empathetic. I was battling with returning him or continuing with the medical treatment my vet recommended. I decided to keep my new puppy, but I just wanted to highlight the authentic care they showed me and my puppy, communication with the staff was pleasant, and I felt supported and not judged by any decision I made. Everyone has a different experience, but mine was great

Babylon Animal Shelter has to be the loveliest shelter I have ever been to. The minute you walk in, you can actually feel the love they have for these animals. They are so well taken care of and the staff were especially warm and kind hearted. We initially went to see a very young male kitten but he had just been adopted when we arrived so we decided to look at the other cats they had. We fell in love with “Spirit”, a beautiful but shy 6 month old female kitten, who my daughter renamed “Marceline”. She was very shy at first but after a little while she became the heart of the family. She’s very playful, cuddly and extremely loving and we can’t imagine our lives without her! I can’t recommend this place enough - Marcy was already fixed, had almost all her shots and was even microchipped! T

The shelter is great for cats and dogs although I wasn't in the dog area. There are many great cats there. They gave us Boogey. He took time to adjust to his new settings. Depending on the cat the period of adjustment will differ. It took about 5 days for the paper work because it was right before a holiday. If you're looking to adopt a pet and get a new friend then this is a good place.

I PURCHASED a cat that was 4-5 months with FLEES and a TAPEWORM unbeknownst to me. I was behooved when I found out this is what was going on with my cat — the love of my life. I moved with in the same week (out of the state) within DAYS of getting my cat. I am now going through my paper work to see my cats breed and to my surprise I stumble across my babies paper work. The workers NEVER informed me of “fancy’s” (MY KNOLA’S) condition. I have other animals and his diagnosis has been spread. COUNTLESS vet appointments, flea baths & etc. I’ve called/left messages because this is insane. No wonder why my baby was antsy. I feel tumbled-down. I am NOT by any means trying to cause a conniption but this is unacceptable. Legal action will be taken. My whole interaction from start to finish was reco
