We love Augusta Animal Hospital so much! The staff is kind, helpful and caring. The vets are very through and knowledgeable! We always trust our puppy exams to them and are very pleased.

While the care itself may be competent, the pricing is excessive for this area. West Virginia families live on West Virginia incomes, and the fees here feel out of step with the community. Veterinary care shouldn’t feel financially overwhelming for routine services - ROUTINE SERVICES. I have two dogs and have been a client for a while, so this is not based on a single visit. While the staff is courteous, I have grown increasingly uncomfortable with both the pricing and the approach to care. Costs consistently feel very high for our area. For example, nail trims for two dogs were $50, and two Bordetella vaccinations totaled $150. Every office visit is charged per dog, which doubles the base cost. What concerned me most, however, was the treatment recommendation for my 14-year-old beagle.

I have a full blooded Pocket Bully which is more like pit Bull than a bulldog!! They treated my dog as if her and her puppies were bulldogs and had healthy beautiful dogs before bringing them here and after I have only the mama left!! Like I said they didn’t even know what my dog was and wouldn’t listen when I tried to correct them!! Absolutely horrible behavior!!

This place has been a nightmare for our dog and family. What started as a simple procedure to remove a mass has turned into months of emergency surgeries and visits to other vets. Shortly after the first procedure we called with serious concern because our dog was filling up with internal fluids. When we called, we were instructed to go elsewhere because no one was there at the time to assist with another procedure if needed. Long story short, 2 more procedures later elsewhere and multiple visits, we called this vet office to inform of our issues and troubles only to be met with a front desk worker named Nikki Hobday that was argumentative from the start and talks like she is the know all at vet procedures and the customer is stupid for questioning their work. This place is ran poorly and
