Customer Reviews
Best place to take my dogs. Very nice people. They took really good care of my Olly when he got his teeth cleaned. Thank you !
We are thankful to have found a vet clinic who has the ability to take on the medical care of a non-traditional pet (skunk). Many other clinics turned us away or were charging extremely high prices to work with an exotic pet, but Athens Veterinary Services were more than willing to provide medical care, as well as be reasonable in pricing. The staff is very friendly and professional. They are straightforward with the information they give us, which we appreciate. I'd recommend them to anyone, regardless of the species of pet they have.
I drive 45 minutes to them! My older lab was hopping on 3 legs. My vet consulted another one there to get a second opinion for treatment. My dog is so much better, but best if all, they are so respectful whenever I call or go there.
Noticed blood in my cats urine in the middle of the night and called every vet in the Wausau/Merrill and nearby areas but none of them had availability. I took my cat to the emergency vet in Kronenwetter and they couldn’t see my cat because she was aggressive towards the staff and then they entered emergency triage and my cat was not considered to have anything life threatening. With only 2 hours left of the clinic being open, Athens told me they couldn’t take anymore patients but then asked me to bring her in as soon as I could so they could try to help. Within 10 minutes of being at the clinic they found the issue and got my cat the meds she needed as well as scheduled for the bladder stone removal. I also informed the vet that my cat can be aggressive before they took her and she told m
My lab tore her CCL/acl last fall, and we were scared and frantic to get help. We were so grateful to find an orthopedic surgeon close to home and not have to drive to Madison or Appleton like we originally thought we would have to. We weren't originally patients of Athens vet, we live in Medford, but they were so calming and kind and took us in righy away. I had our vet transfer our records over and Athens jumped in immediately to get us appointments and get the surgery scheduled. One of the receptionists sat on the phone with me for quite a long time and calmed me down because I was so emotional. That's above and beyond the call of duty in my opinion, but it shows the compassion Athens vet has. My dog had her surgery and everything went great, Dr Paul even called over the weekend to
