Asheville Dog Academy

We had such a fantastic experience with Asheville Dog Academy, especially with our trainer, Rebecca. She worked with our pup, Finley, and the difference has been incredible. Rebecca is patient, clear, and truly understands how to meet dogs (and their humans!) where they are. She gave us practical tools that actually work, and Finley absolutely adored her. The sessions were structured but never stressful, and we always felt supported and encouraged. We’ve come away with a much more confident, well-mannered pup and a much better understanding of how to communicate with him. If you’re looking for thoughtful, effective, and genuinely caring training, we can’t recommend Rebecca and Asheville Dog Academy enough!

My husband and I rescued River in July 2025. She was 5 months old at the time. She was wild and out of control. We wanted so much for our home to be River’s forever home but after a few weeks we had reservations. One of my coworkers recommended Asheville Dog Academy. Our experience was nothing short of amazing. River’s trainer, Anna is so passionate in her work and it’s easy to see how much she cares. River loves her and would get so excited every time she went for training. I highly recommend Asheville Dog Academy. They truly can train any dog!!!!

I have no idea where to start!!! Zoey used to be extremely reactive to everything, which made taking her anywhere stressful and honestly overwhelming for me even just stepping outside the neighborhood. I spoke with several trainers, but most felt unprofessional and very expensive. Asheville Dog Activity was the last place I reached out to, and after speaking with Chris, I immediately felt heard and understood. He truly listened to my frustrations, and that meant a lot. Today was Zoey’s final session, and I couldn’t be more grateful for Rebecca or more proud of Zoey. The transformation has been incredible. We did two rounds of training with Rebecca and would recommend her and Asheville Dog Academy over and over! We have a Rottweiler who went through the reactivity program because he would get overly excited whenever he saw other dogs, now we have him obsessed with playing with us and he's able to contain his excitement around other dogs 90% of the time. Training him is an ongoing thing but we have all the tools and resources we need from Rebecca to make sure he keeps going in the right direction. Our boy has made a complete 180 from day 1. The experience we went through and the amazing treatment they provided to our boy is something I would again with our future dogs.

We cannot say enough great things about Asheville Dog Academy! We adopted a year and a half old black lab who had zero leash training or manners. Rebecca was a PERFECT fit for George and us. She is a great teacher. She is very patient, caring and knowledgeable. We are now able to take George out on the trails and to breweries with no issues whatsoever. We would highly recommend Asheville Dog Academy, Chris and Rebecca!
