Highly recommend this vet! All the vets at this practice are amazing and will take great care of your fur-baby! I found this place when I adopted my first cat after moving here. My first cat was a special case and he got very sick shortly after I got him. The vets here provided the best care for him, and although he passed, I know they did all they could to figure out what was wrong and how to help him. After my boy's passing, the Arlington Heights Animal Hospital vets and staff sent a letter and a flower and that meant a lot to me. When I got my next fur-baby, I knew immediately who to take them to. I now have two happy and healthy fur-babies that I take to the vets here. We took our dog, Shadow, to The Retreat at Arlington Heights Animal Hospital for play care, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. They ensured he had all the required vaccinations—and even some that aren’t required at most other facilities—which made us feel confident about his safety. From the moment he arrived, the staff greeted and treated him like one of their own. He was smoothly introduced into the pack and made friends right away. Drop-off and pick-up were easy and efficient, and we loved receiving pictures of Shadow throughout the day. He came home one very happy dog! I highly recommend this place for your dog.

Update to my review: Both Brandi the office manager, & Dr. Dunehoo have followed up with me to check on my dog, & to get some additional details about this situation. After chatting with both of them, it does appear that our situation was a bit of an anomaly. It does not sound like the urgency of the situation was clearly communicated to Dr. Dunehoo when I called Friday morning going into Labor Day weekend. They also both informed me that same-day appointments are available when needed, although that was not offered to me at the time, I was told they were very busy going into the holiday weekend & the soonest appointment offered was 5 days later. We used to like this groomer, but lately they have had a hard time keeping a groomer on staff. This morning was the third time we drove to our confirmed grooming appointment, in rush hour traffic, just to be told the groomer was not coming in and our appointment needed to be rescheduled. This time though they claimed they tried to call us beforehand to inform us. Total lies. I looked at all my call logs, VM's, texts, email, and absolutely nothing of the sort. The last communication from them was asking to confirm the appointment, which I did. How can I trust these people with my dog, when they blatantly lie to our faces and cannot keep a groomer on staff. Never using again.

I had my first visit today with my 9 week old Toller puppy. Every staff member that we encountered from the minute we walked in the door was so kind and knowledgeable. They answered all of my questions and ensured me they were just an email or phone call away if I had any other questions come up. Highly recommend!
