I recently adopted a dog, who had previously been seen at Arenac Bay Veterinary Services while in the care of a local shelter. Due to miscommunication and recent changes at the shelter, many of the dogs' records were not properly entered or transferred (including his Rabies vaccination), so I reached out to Arenac Bay directly in an attempt to obtain accurate records and a complete history of his medical care which included treatment for lyme's and testing for heartworms. Despite explaining that I was now the dog's legal owner, the staff refused to release any information, citing "HIPAA"-which does not apply to animals. Even when my own veterinarian contacted them directly, they still refused to share any missing information. Because of this, the dog had to undergo unnecessary repeat vacc

Our 8 goldens love their vets and all the workers & office staff. All questions get answered until you are satisfied and understand about any treatment plans. As a golden retriever breeder, great support system. #1 vet office for sure.
