It is all about the Dogs and Cats. Keeping them safe and cared for. It is a happy place. A place where some regain their trust for humans. They love the animals. Truly they do.
My Oreo was 17 years old (been with me since he was 10 weeks old) when Ark of Hope told me they had no person to take him in temporarily. 2 weeks later, the Allegany County Animal Shelter took him in & he was adopted by someone within 3 days. Ark of Hope in Cumberland, Maryland provides NO HOPE for any person & their pet who was with them longer than any human being.
Lovely people. Lovely atmosphere and setting. No doubt low on funding this business needs help to run a professional business operation.Lost files and health records i,mposible to get for proper health care of pet. Would choose another rescue rather than plead for information on adopted pet.health history. Would never use again.
They are very passionate about the well being of our pets.
