My pooch hurt his leg over the weekend so I called 6 offices who are all booked and can’t take new vets, we are only in town during the summer so our normal vet isn’t in town. Then I called Applegate and despite them also being booked, they went out of their way to fit us in. Dr. Jean is amazing, figured out what was up and was so great at explaining the issue. The staff is so kind and caring, making the experience easy and I’m confident Ollie will be feeling much better soon because of them. 10/10

I cannot and will not recommend this clinic. My 5-month-old puppy had an appointment scheduled for 4:00 p.m., but we weren’t called back until 4:25. The veterinarian, Charles “Chuck” Meyer, was lurking silently in the exam room and made no effort to greet my puppy, comfort him, or use treats. During the exam, he squeezed my puppy’s face so tightly his knuckles turned white, then shook his head while yelling “stop it.” My puppy was left shaking and now resists having his eyes looked at. When I addressed the man's behavior, the response I received was a patronizing apology. This entire incident happened in front of my nine -year-old son, who was also upset. I took my dog and left immediately. In my opinion, this handling was unprofessional, frightening, and completely inappropriate for a vet

We took our puppy to have his eyes looked at and the vet was very rude and rough with our puppy grabbing his head and mouth man handling to the point our pup was shaking, I would never take another pet to that place and will be making a complaint with the veterinary board of oregon.

Since 2004, Dr. Meyer and his staff have taken care of the seven dogs that we rescued over the years. These dogs came to us and to him, with a variety of neuroses and disturbing background experiences. Dr. Meyer addressed them all, always professionally and always with sympathy for their - and our - plight. When it became time to "transition' them to the Canine Heaven that they all so richly deserved, he assisted them gently and, since we lived across the street from his practice, by calling on them so they could die at peace in their home, with their "parents' and their pack. Our two remaining dogs are now in their 12th year; they will soon join the others, and we will remember Dr. Meyer and his staff with the same intensity that we will our dogs.
