Apache Animal Hospital

My thanks to Apache Animal Hospital for the excellent care they provide my two weiner dogs Betty and Barney. This clinic is privately owned and that makes such a difference compared to a corporate owned (chain) clinic. The staff at Apache actually care about our individual pups, and it shows. When we started going to Apache, we lived in Minneapolis but have since moved to Delano about 40 miles away. We still take our pups to Apache because the quality of care we received and trust we have in Dr. Ross is well worth the trip.

We love Apache Animal Hospital, especially Dr. Ross and the vet techs. We’ve been coming here for about six years with multiple pets, including a senior cat, our dog, and now two kittens. If anyone is going to care for our pets, we want it to be someone like Dr. Ross, who genuinely LOVES animals. He’s always great at explaining what’s going on and how to care for our pets at home, and his care and compassion really stand out. The team also does their best to get us in same day when something urgent comes up, which we truly appreciate. 10/10 recommend!

We have been nothing but impressed and absolutely thrilled with our experience with all the staff! They have been so caring and supportive throughout our visits and have shared our pain when we received the diagnosis of cancer for our big girl Mishka and have been working with us in taking care of her during this time!

Apache always goes above and beyond to be empathetic and thoughtful of me and my pup. They thoroughly answer all of my questions, and I love that they strive to be a fear-free experience for my nervous dog. We have gone here for years and it's wonderful to have a reliable place to care for our dog's needs.

⸻ I am heartbroken and utterly shocked at the lack of empathy this clinic has showed me. There have been many times where I have felt unimportant and treated like just a price tag — a way to pay their bills. A couple weeks ago, I brought my dog in because he was coughing. They wanted to do x-rays and blood work for $1,000, which I agreed to. Dr. Cleary said they were very short-staffed and because of this, they would need to keep my 15-year-old dog at the clinic for the day until they found time to do the x-rays, etc. I told her I did not want to leave him there when he’s feeling so poorly and that I would wait. Once I said that, Dr. Cleary went and checked, then came back telling me that her tech and her office manager could do the x-rays because Dr. Cleary didn’t have an appointment a
