Ankle biters

I wish I could give zero stars and I hate saying that. I usually took my boy to PetSmart but I wanted to support a local business. I talked to the lady and for my boy to get his nails trimmed, a bath, fur cut and ears cleaned it was $70 - which I thought was fair. When I dropped him off he was put in a cage where he couldn’t stand properly, I brought this up to her and she said it was just temporary because she had another dog coming in right behind me. The lady and I went over again on what I wanted and she assured me that she would make it happen. Well my husband picked up our dog and he called me, our dogs nails had not been done nor had his fur been cut, also he told me the lady refused to break the $100 he paid her with and they agreed to put it towards the next cut and that she would

My dog went in for a trim. This dog had beautiful thick long red hair and they shaved it all off. Not to mention her face is uneven and the back of her neck is choppy and she is officially bald. This is absolutely the worst grooming experience I have ever seen. If you own a long haired dog I highly recommend finding another groomer as you can clearly see they are not capable of handling this.

I told them I wanted a trim around my dogs face, and a hair cut, de-shedding. They shaved my dog who is Husky and Shepard and should not have been shaved. They told my husband they couldn't get to her tail because my dog wouldn't let them. So my dog is shaved but still has a full fluffy tail....the hair around her face is uneven and she didn't trim the hair on her ears. I'm not happy and I will not be going there again. I paid 65.00 and my dog is bald! I NEVER said "everything off" I told you what she weighed. If you could not accommodate my dog, you should have said so. And yes, she was bald and very uneven! She looks horrible!

I am 100% satisfied and super grateful to the ladies at Ankle Biters! They were able to accommodate my little Coco the same day I called in (today 9/9/24) for a last minute grooming emergency lol. Super friendly, very professional, flexible, price friendly, and most of all, Coco’s bath and cut is beautiful! I highly recommend Ankle Biters in Galena! Will be back!

I was looking for a one-time grooming appointment in the area. They had a flexible schedule and very reasonable pricing. They were nice and accommodating. I have a large dog (75 lbs) and many groomers don’t even take them around here. He came out looking great…was shiny, evenly trimmed and soft. Smelled good too and the groom was quick to accommodate my schedule. Thanks ladies.
