ABC has a pretty intense adoption process in place that can be overwhelming and seem complicated at first. I quickly understood this was to protect the cats, kitties, dogs and puppies at the shelter so they are placed in permanent loving homes. We are thrilled to have miss Coco join our home- she has turned into a complete love bug and I cannot imagine a day without her in our home and hearts. Thank you Christine and Andra for giving us this beautiful baby girl and a chill life in our home 🏠 ❤️ 🐾

This no kill shelter for cats and dogs does fantastic work. I was looking to adopt a kitty I saw on Petfinder after the passing of my senior cat, and I liked that the shelter interviews and assesses candidates for adoption before they allow you to visit. They are thorough and compassionate, seeking a stable forever home for these fur babies that is the best fit. I filled out an application, received emails, then a phone call followed by a home visit. I was then able to visit the shelter and meet kitty. I was taken with him and his friend, and ended up adopting both boys, Percy and Billy. They are now settled in to their new home with my girl kitties. We couldn’t be happier! I highly recommend this shelter for cat and dog adoptions and please consider donating. They are funded only b

I have been volunteering, particularly with the cats, at Animals Benefit Club of Az (ABC) for the last 3 months. I am just a volunteer who socializes with the cats. The other volunteers clean the runs, mow the lawn, clean up the poop, feed the pets, and take care of the pets’ medical needs. As soon as I started here, I could tell all of the dogs and cats were loved and cared for. I could not volunteer someplace where the animals were not treated well. The dogs and cats have large runs, and they are given frequent outside time. Although ABC is closed without an appointment, a person can obtain an appointment by submitting an application and being approved. Then, they get one on one time with the pets they are interested in. The volunteers who run ABC have each dog’s and cat’s wellbeing i

Everyone complaining about how they weren't considered to adopt these wonderful animals must've been writing some VERY alarming things in their applications because we were accepted immediately to visit these beautiful potential pets! We were able to get in contact immediately and see all of their cats day of application acceptance. We fell in love with two of their babies, Chowder and Cobalt, and ended up adopting them to live with us in our forever home. This rescue takes such amazing care of their animals, and really cares about where they get adopted to, and I don't blame them. These animals deserve the best of the best, and I'm honored that we were given the chance to give these animals the best. Thank you ABC for everything you do. ADOPT, DON'T SHOP! I want to give a big shout out t

I am beyond excited I stumbled upon the Animal Benefits Club (ABC)! I had to put my 19-year-old Jack Russel down and was ready to welcome a new best friend into my home. I happened to come across a photo of a little guy named Fritz and I knew the moment I saw the picture; this would be my new little buddy. When I clicked on the picture it directed me to the ABC site. From doing my research, I came to realize that ABC is not one of those shelters that just hands dogs over to anyone asking. They take their time to ensure their dogs are being placed into the right environment for each dogs individual needs. This is a positive in my books because the last thing any dog lover would want is for someone to bring a new pet into their home only to have it returned back into a shelter because
