Being Christmas Eve, we desperately called every veterinary clinic in our hometown of Knott County, KY, only to find that none were open. In panic and fear, we reached out farther and were able to get in touch with Animal Urgent Care in Middlesboro, KY. Without hesitation, they told us to bring our baby to them. I can’t thank Animal Urgent Care in Middlesboro enough for everything they did for my sweet Chunk today. He’s truly my best friend, and knowing he was in such good hands means the world to me. Dr. Morris and her amazing tech, Gabby, along with the entire team, quite literally saved his life. During surgery to remove bladder stones, one of the stones moved and caused a urinary blockage — an emergency that could have turned out so much worse if it weren’t for the teams quick action and incredible care. Friday night my 14 year old little fur baby Dayzi became very sick. I called my regular vet’s office as soon as they opened Saturday and was told they were booked and could not work me in even for an emergency! I was referred to Animal Urgent Care in Middlesboro. They got us right in and were truly a Godsend! Immediately Dr Morris and Shelby assessed Dayzi and presented us with a plan to ease her pain & several options to get her back on her feet and healthy as possible. Dr Morris went over each medication, instructed us on dosage etc and answered all our questions and eased our fears. Dr Morris administered meds, an injection, IV and lots of love on our girl. Coming from someone who’s had bad experiences with vets in the past, I cannot stress this enough: if your pet needs care, take them to Animal Urgent Care Tri-State!! First and foremost, they have multiple options for payment and will absolutely work with your budget to provide care that you can afford. They discuss costs with you upfront before anything is done so that you are informed and can decide how you want to proceed. Both times we’ve been, we’ve been asked what our budget is and were given treatment options based on that. I appreciate that so much. They genuinely want to help your pet and are willing to do so within your budget. We use CareCredit, but I’ve also seen pamphlets and posters in the office for different types of pet insurance and other payment options, like ScratchPay.

Thank you Dr. Morris and Kathleen for the excellent care you both gave Sassy. We are so appreciative of you both. We will recommend you to everyone. We could not have ask for two more compassionate people to care for Sassy. I give you both 5 stars for not only animal care but also people care.
