Highly recommend Animal Rescue League of Boston to anyone looking to expand their family with a new pet!! This is Luna (formerly Labubu), she’s our perfect wild child which we were properly warned about, but we couldn’t be happier and she fits right into our crazy little family. The rescue was absolutely amazing with relaying all information regarding her life before us, making sure she was FULLY up to date with the vet, and best of all sent us home with EVERYTHING we needed for her, bed, toys, treats, leash, collar etc. even enough food to last the first couple days. 10/10 best rescue experience. My sister adopted James and when we got him he was really scared and nervous. A bit feisty but within two days he became the most sweetest cat. He is super lovable, gets along with my other cat. He brings a lot of laughs and cuddles when needed. We are super grateful for James

We adopted 2 boy kittens Buzball & Genoa and they're the life of the party,running chasing each other like wild ponies,we're loving every moment! This is a great place to look for a pet, and the animals seem well cared for. Unfortunately, one staff member behaved in a way that felt overly anxious and unprofessional. When I calmly asked about air travel options for adopting a cat, she reacted defensively and accused my partner and me of upsetting the cat just by looking at it. The cat showed no signs of stress and appeared happy and engaged. The interaction felt unjustified and uncomfortable, and it negatively impacted our visit. Louise is a great girl, and I hope she finds a good home!

Read the Fine Print: This Shelter Can Reclaim Your Pet at Any Time Please check the adoption contract carefully, especially the section titled “Ownership.” This section was never disclosed or explained to me. It states that if a pet you adopt is later determined to rightfully belong to another person, that person retains full ownership rights, and the adopter must immediately return the pet to ARL with no court order and no monetary compensation. I adopted a cat from this shelter and had him for two weeks. I then received a call, with no prior context or explanation, informing me that I had to immediately bring him back because his previous owners had come forward. At no point was I told that my cat had been found wearing a collar. The shelter made it seem as though he had been a stray
