Rescued an adorable lovable kitten that had a problem pooping. I was in between jobs and didn't have the funds to pay for her treatment. I reached out to several different local vets that I've worked with for my own cats one of my babies just passed from diabetes but no one would help they all suggested I take her to ARL. Patches wasn't even 1 whole pound so I was so nervous. I had her ins6now 3 days. No one did tell me that if I took her there they would treat her but they would keep her that was the catch I could not get her back unless I apply adopted her when she was better if she got better. Crying my eyes out I clutched her blanket and went to my car and then took a deep breath and went back to ask questions they were so nice to me even told me that they were working on her and that

I think my experience was great, my girl is awesome. I was treated fair, the only reason i gave it 4 stars was because i can understand the frustrations of others customers, expressing the concern of first come first serve because i did over hear a team member say to a potential adoptee that the last puppy was being adopted on Saturday. Also, my little girl has perfect health, however i had a suspicion with her ears and turns out she has a ear infection but thats common. I am so greatful for her and it's been only 24 hours and she is adjusting perfectly, we love her!

Recently went to the ARL with my husband to adopt a cat. He grew up in Berks County, so he was familiar with this shelter, but this was my first time here. I was so impressed with the facilities they have and the maintenance of them. Everything was so clean and modern. The staff we all so kind and knowledgeable. They never made us feel rushed in making our decision to adopt and answered any questions we had thoroughly. I also loved that I was able to complete my profile online & join the waiting list on our way there. Very convenient. We ended up leaving with an adorable torbie who has quickly made herself at home in our house and in our hearts. Once we took her out of the carrier, she started purring and making biscuits, and she hasn’t stopped yet! Thank you to the ARL for taking car

I visited here to use their veterinary services for our 2 male cats. They have a low cost spay and or neuter for cats and dogs. They did an awesome job and were very kind and professional. Both of my boys did amazing, and healed very quickly and nicely. They warn you of possible infections and all that fun stuff, of which we had none, thankfully. I would highly recommend them to anyone and will definitely be using them again with 1 more little boy once he is eligible.
