What a great place! I found Thor online one evening. I filled out the application and was contacted the same night. I scheduled a meet and greet for my husband and myself. We sat in a living room and were shown the pup and his friend to see how he played with other dogs. I brought kids for the next visit. I liked how they had volunteers available to show the pups personality with people he is familiar with. Finally I brought my dog on the third visit. Sue made time in her busy schedule to get me in to see the dog and gave me toys, food, and crates to ease Thor’s transition. I was please with the care the took to make sure we were the right fit for each other. My new family member is right at home. Thank you ARF.

I cannot say enough of good things about the staff at ARF! I filled out the application to adopt a dog, the next day I received a phone call saying the dog I was interested in already found a home but asked if I wanted to come in and meet other dogs of course I did! I played with dogs in their very large comfortable room and found my perfect dog. I picked him the next day, the paperwork was ready when I got there it was so quick and easy. They gave us EVERYTHING we needed too! Blankets, clothes, harness, a bed, food and more!!

Very pleased with my experience! They went above and beyond what was both good for the dog and their people. Anything we needed for the dog to be comfortable at our home came along with her. Facility was beautiful and very inviting. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Thank you so much 💝

Horrible experience and I didn’t even get into the process! Contacted them and waited…and waited…and waited…no responce for a week. So I messeged one of their workers on Facebook. She was unavailable to help (yet messaging me back) but said she will tell other staff to help me. Waited…then waited…so I started to complain. She tells me everyone’s just busy all volunteers. Ok…waited….waited….another week goes by and nothing. So I decided to go to New York and found a shelter and within 5 minutes had two beautiful kittens in my arms and my son was happy and we left. The reviews are real, this shelter just doesn’t want to find homes for the animals or they just don’t care anymore. It’s perfectly evident. Zero responce or care to get their animals adopted.

I volunteer here and have seen firsthand how loving everyone is that takes care of both the adoptable dogs and cats. We do our best to provide the necessary medical care, love and a safe space for these animals so that we can find them a good furever home. I personally rescued two cats from ARF and we couldn't be happier with our boys.
