Animal Medical Center of Lake Villa

This was an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. I called ahead to understand pricing before scheduling, and everything sounded reasonable. The appointment itself went fine, but only afterward did I learn they would issue just a 90-day prescription and require follow-ups every three months. That policy is highly unconventional. My dog has been on this medication for years with stable bloodwork, and every other vet I’ve worked with provides an annual prescription with yearly monitoring. Being forced into quarterly visits is unnecessarily inconvenient and turns what appeared to be reasonable pricing into something far more expensive. It felt misleading. I was initially a little worried after scheduling once I read a couple of the reviews, but wanted to make sure I left one because I had the best experience. I took my 10 month old male kitty Goose in today for a neuter and vaccinations, I found everyone very nice, everything was explained clearly he was brought in at 8:30 and ready for pickup at 11. He was completely back to his normal happy self within less than an hour! I will be switching my other pets over to this vet I was very pleased with them!

My youngest dog is a working dog, a blue healer mix of some sort, we believe pit or boxer maybe. Anyway he stands about 2 ft tall and 79 lbs with a big chest and even larger bark, he is a handful and apparently has fear and anxiety when visiting the Doctor which I learned there is a score assigned. The DVM managed my animal's fear and anxiety much better than our previous animal clinic, took the time to sedate my family dog and get the necessary medications and treatments, and explained in detail the process she followed. Bravo Zulu ( Navy term for well done) to your Doctors, staff, and support personnel for the kind, patient, and caring services! I now have anxiety meds for my pup and hopefully next time we meet it will go even smoother! Cheers!

I have only had positive connections with this place. I foster dogs and they have fixed our one dog and now this one they did the dental work and the claws the staff there is phenomenal. I will be using them more often on a personal basis.
