Animal Friends Humane Society

Very disgusted and disappointed. For a humane society these people are anything but. I adopted a Grey tabby and signed papers this Sunday. Apparently since the 7th she had been having a bloody stool. No Vet checked in on her, except when it was time for her to get spayed and even then all they did was check for intestinal parasites and said the vet felt “safe enough to do surgery” without looking into the underlying cause. No blood test, no nothing even though her gums were clearly anemic and she was severely underweight and dehydrated. Of course, instead of taking the time to do one simple blood test and prevent this all, they do the surgery anyway so they can get their paycheck faster and they tell us she is safe to go home, so we take her home on Tuesday. They didn’t bother to sit us do

Tom and friends were amazingly friendly, helpful, attentive, knowledgeable, generous and more. They went the extra mile for me at a time when I really needed it. Thank you guys ❤️

Friendly staff very clean facility. I for the second time in a years time had to bail out my dog Phillip and I am still surprised at how low the fee is compared to other shelters are to get him out plus they offer other things as well like microchipping for only 20 dollars per pet. They usually have for sale different dog outfits and really nice harnesses and leashes for way cheaper than retail. You can definitely count on these people to do their very best and everything they can to ensure your pets safety and health are top priority.

We went here unfortunately to put our poor dog down. She was so sick and needed this done and everywhere we called wanted 100s of dollars. Not only did they charge so much less they were so great. They were very empathetic to our situation and they were so wonderful and kind to her. They gave us a paw and nose print. While we were there we noticed that the staff was doing the best work with very little supplies. If you are looking for a place to donate I am sure they would appreciate anything they can get.

We adopted a kitten here back in June 2017. Now fully grown, he has turned out to be so much better than any of us thought he would be. He was adopted as my therapy cat. He was friendly in the beginning, but now he's really super friendly. Constantly wants affection, loves being around people, and has been there for me when no one else has. Yes he is wild sometimes and claws things he shouldn't but the amount of good this cat has brought us easily overshadows his flaws. My family agrees that this was the best $10 spent (adoption fee at the time) of all time. What a bargain for such a great cat. Both photos were him at the time of his adoption in June 2017. His name is Pinstripe and he has his forever home with us and I am forever grateful for him :)
