Animal Emergency of Pasco

This post is long overdue. We were there 2 years ago with our beautiful Snow White German Shepherd. We had a regular veterinarian, but she rapidly declined over the weekend...of course, in the middle of the night. We already knew that her time was short. So as soon as she had her severe episode of probably Bloat, we brought her in for euthanasia. The techs did a great job. They immediately brought a stretcher to the waiting room when I told them my husband was going to carry her in from the car. We were with her the whole time, except for 5 minutes that they wanted to give her a little bit of sedation and put the IV in her leg. These photos are of her minutes before she was put down and then of course her paw after passing. We used Foster's cremation services for her pawprint and remains.

Had no idea how our baby got injured, it was a Saturday morning and we took her in and was seen fairly quickly. Was given treatment options & suggestions to get Purrsephone back on her paws & back to her rambunctious, energetic self! Pricing was acceptable to have our baby back. Great experience overall for our first time here. Will return if ever needed, hopefully not though, however our 7 grandkitties well being is priceless!!! Ty all for being there for us at such odd hours & it being the weekend & not needing appointment, walk-ins are welcomed.

Today 1/3/2026 was every pet parent’s worst nightmare. We woke up to find our smallest fur baby, Lulu, declining rapidly. Just two days ago, she seemed like she was only a little under the weather but this morning, we knew something was terribly wrong. Through tears and panic, I called this vet office, asking about CareCredit and whether they accepted walk-ins. The receptionist was so kind she didn’t rush me, didn’t judge me for being emotional. She simply reassured me and said they would be ready for us. Ten minutes later, I arrived. She recognized me instantly my tear-streaked face said it all and she took Lulu straight to the back to begin care. Long story short, we have three dogs who are like our children, and Alahia came into our lives last December. Unfortunately, after the unexpected loss of my wife's mother, and then 11 days later in Puerto Rico, my wife's father also passed away...it's been a very difficult few months for my wife, and that little dog means so much to her...she's like the connection that remains between her mother and her. Animal Emergency of Pasco is a compassionate, reasonable, and excellent emergency care facility! They are open nights, weekends, holidays, which is when all animals decide to be ill it seems, they have saved a precious baby of mine in the past from a blood parasite whoms condition was deteriorating rapidly. She needed multiple blood transfusions and IV antibiotics, but the treatment worked. And my gut is happy and healthy today. I couldn't be more grateful for their prompt service.
