They are knowledgeable with all of their animals and they give great advice and recommendations. I would definitely go there if you are new to owning a pet or have any questions regarding your current pet. I have been going there for years and I’ve gotten all of my feeder mice there for my snake, and have even bought a few small rodents as PETS, because of how kind they are! They also educated me on a pet id never had before, and she has become such a great part of my family! I love animal city, and will keep going for as long as they remain open, I recommend you do the same!

Got a beautiful red tail boa today. The owner was very helpful and wanted to make sure we got the right snake for our family. He allowed us to hold and spend time with multiple snakes before we chose our girl. Definitely recommend. They are very knowledgeable and want the best for their animals.

Absolutely love Animal City in Vernon! Every time I visit, the store is clean, well-organized, and fully stocked with everything I need for my pets. The staff is incredibly friendly and genuinely knowledgeable—they’re always happy to answer questions or make recommendations that actually help. You can tell they truly care about the animals and their customers. Prices are fair, the selection is great, and the overall experience is consistently fantastic. Great selection, including rarely-seen freshwater fish. Quarantine the fish before making available, what is sold is healthy. Very knowledgeble staff. New location is great. Long-time customer.

We had such a wonderful experience getting out birds from Animal City. Chris was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and patient in answering all our questions. The store was really busy yet we got all of the time and care a customer may need. Our birds look very happy and have already brought so much joy to out home. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to find their pet.
