Animal Adoption Center

I had an amazing experience here. I did not even know this place existed, and it has been right down the street from me for years! I have previously fostered and adopted from AWA and HB, but both of those clinics have left me in the past with feelings of shame, disappointment, and a lot of judgment was the counselors there. This time, I had an amazing experience that was finally different. I called the center around 2 PM on Sunday afternoon looking at some kittens on their website that piqued my interest. The employee who answered my call was very patient with me and thoroughly explained the process of what I could do to adopt a kitten that same day by the time they closed at 5 PM. She didn't treat me like I was annoying, or a burden, or as if she was "too busy" to answer my questions. Sh

Love this shelter. We've been adopting from them for years. Currently have 3 doggies all rescues from the Animal Adoption Center.

Manager and staff were absolutely amazing and super friendly. They made the adoption process so easy and smooth. They were very helpful as well. All the animals were adorable and friendly and well kept. I would definitely recommend this adoption center.

In March of 2022, my fiancé and I were in search of adopting a cat. Before we got here, we were rejected from three other adoption centers. The staff here were very kind and helpful. At first we didn’t find a cat here that seemed like a good fit, then we went into another room and met our lovely boy. He jumped up next to us immediately showing us love, and we knew he was the one. His name was Sylvester, now named Lance. He is such a huge part of our lives and is the sweetest and kindest cat I’ve ever met. I am so thankful we ended up coming to this adoption center and endured such a lovely experience with the staff.

We adopted 2 dogs in December. We had a wonderful experience with the owner and staff. They were kind, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Our dogs are a wonderful addition to the family!! Thank you!
