Almost Heaven K9 Training

I adopted my dog from a shelter, he was approximately one year old and had a looooot of high anxiety energy with nowhere safe to put it. He chewed things, stole things to chew, chased our cat, kept aggravating our other smaller dog who would in turn snap at him. It was just a huge, endless cycle of stress and chaos. It took only a few weeks of this for me to realize I needed help in a bad way. He was in her three week program, and on pickup day, it was like meeting a totally different dog. We love Almost Heaven K9 Training! Taking our 9 month chocolate lab here has been truly life changing. Stella participated in Becca’s 3-week program and we saw a day and night improvement in her recall, place, and overall behavior. Becca is patient, knowledgeable, and gave us great tools to use at home. We will take Stella here to board as well. Would absolutely recommend.

Absolutely worth the investment. Becca at Almost Heaven K9 has changed life with our dog for the better. My family brought home an 8-week Newfoundland pup earlier this year. I got on Becca's training scheduling that same week. With three young children and a puppy who will eventually grow to the size of a small horse, we knew training was a necessity. Our puppy is sweet as can be, but she weighed over 80 pounds at 6 months and her size presented a huge challenge. She practically dragged me along the asphalt on walks. She knocked an elderly neighbor to the ground. I dreaded getting her out of the crate in the morning because she would jump all over me and getting her down was physically exhausting. I cannot recommend Almost Heaven K9 highly enough! From the very beginning, Becca was incredibly communicative and kept me updated throughout the entire process. My 8-month-old pup Barkley could be hyper, especially at night, and would often jump and playfully nip at people when he got excited. Becca took the time to understand our challenges and personalize the training to address them. Admittingly, I was apprehensive about the process. As much as I knew Barkley needed training, I was worried that he might lose the lovable puppy personality that I love. Thankfully, that couldn’t be further from the truth. We got our dog from the local pound, and he had a rough beginning! He was on survival mode, and was very territorial, especially over food. We did everything we knew to do, but even our vet advised us that he was a liability. He bit every single one of us, and we finally thought we were going to have to put him down, but I go to church with Becca, and had seen the good work that she did with other dogs, and so I asked her if she could help us. She did, and it turned our fearful, defensive dog into an obedient, loyal pet. What a difference she made for us! She not only saved our dog’s life, but she made our home life much easier after she trained him and us on how to continue the training after we got him home.
