Allegany County Animal Shelter

Cold in here because my buddy was giving a dog under false pretenses and basically falsely advertised He was manipulated and told that the dog would be basically on the streets if something wasn't done so he felt bad and tried to help come to find out the dog is extremely destructive and does nothing but have separation anxiety and the owner refuses to reach back out to him when there was an agreement that she would pay for the anxiety medicine for the dog. My buddy is literally disabled and he was just trying to do his best but whoever the women is here that owns the shelter supposedly is head of animal control near needs to get an attitude adjustment. The staff at the shelter is awesome, friendly and does a brilliant job taking care of all the animals looking for a new home! The animals are very well cared for even when the shelter is at full capacity… We got the two best and sweetest cats from this shelter!! We are so pleased!! The adoption process is easy to do online! The hardest part is choosing which fur baby you want to take home!! The shelter is always happy to welcome volunteers to help out with the cats and dogs: you can just show up, fill out a form and start straight away! #adoptdontshop

We adopted Cruz aka Spruce 3wks ago. He has been the best dog. Has adjusted to farm life very well. He is soo smart.

Shelter is extremely full! In my personal opinion the animals are in better condition then they would be on the streets and it seems like they are trying there best. They were very sweet and helped us in a very timely manner considering we came from out of town and needed to be back to pick my son up. They listened to the type of personality of cat we wanted and took us straight to the most perfect cat! We are currently cuddled up as I am writing this. Thank you!

Pretty sure the animals have taken over and that the employees are now hostages. 10 calls a day for 13 days straight not one answered Lord help if you try to make a donation to this place.
