Alkire Kennels

This place is an absolute joke. A friend gave me their info, so I tried reaching out over the past 3 dayst—left a voicemail with no response. Today, I finally got someone on the line, but as soon as I mentioned I was calling about boarding my dog, he hung up. I gave the benefit of the doubt and called again, but he hung up on me a second time. I can’t help but feel it was because of my accent. I’m beyond disappointed. If this is how they treat people over the phone, I can’t imagine trusting them with my dog. I’m relieved I won’t be leaving my baby with people who clearly lack basic decency and professionalism. They seriously need a lesson in how to treat others with respect. Please think twice before you trust them with you fur family.

My dog loves this place! He goes here when we are out of town and every couple weeks for his baths. I'm pretty sure he is happier to go here than he is going anywhere.

We took our 3 pups there this weekend for the first time. All of the staff was very nice and understanding! Two of my pups have pretty bad separation anxiety and the staff was very accommodating to make sure they were ok!

I’ve used these kennels in the past, but never again will. Arrived Saturday at 11:30am to pick up my dogs. We ring the bell letting them know we arrived while the staff was in the back. After a few minutes we press the bell again, to then afterwards to hear the staff say behind the closed door “I’m coming” in such a rude way my husband and I looked at each other and if my kids weren’t present I’d let her know how I’m sure her negative response towards a customer who pays a lot of money to board here for a week is most certainly how she treats the animals. Cruelly. And her whole demeanor made us feel we inconvenienced the hell out of her. I did have to ask for my dogs bed too which seemed to add to her dislike of us being a customer. That’s not the kind of customer service we expect from so

We have to take our dog here because he’s too aggressive at our regular boarding kennel. It’s a little out in the country, so he gets fresh air and exercise. Good size kennels and it’s a decent size facility. The staff is friendly, polite and they care about animals. Trusted boarding kennel!
