Aldona's Hike and Play

Aldona is an exceptional dog sitter. She has been caring for my dogs for over twelve years and treats them like her own. She has an instinctual ability to understand dogs and their individual personalities. She is also very professional and extremely reliable. She is the most energetic dog sitter I have ever met. When in her care, my dogs are outside exercising as much as 5 hours per day. In the morning and evening they get walks at the local dog park. During the day, she hikes with them for 3 – 4 hours in the woods. After a day with Aldona, my dogs are tired and happy. She has great control over the dogs in her care, despite the fact that they are rarely on a leash. She has a commanding voice that the dogs obey instinctively. Lastly, the dogs in Aldona's care have great affection for her.

Aldona has been taking care of my dogs before she actually had the business. We also hike together almost weekly, so I know her and her business very well. As a person, Aldona is one of the most open, caring and generous person I know. (This can be a bit shocking when you first get to know her because most of us are trained to have bigger barriers with strangers, but when you get to know her you realize it’s just her big heart and lack of guile). She frequently puts the needs of people’s dogs before her own. I am very picky about where my dogs go and who cares for them. Aldona truly cares about and understands each dog, their personality and their unique needs. Our dog Ingó loves his days with Aldona! When Aldona approaches our house in the morning, he gets very excited and cannot wait to hop in her minivan. He gets a lot of exercise, enjoys socializing with the other dogs, and always comes back tired and happy. Aldona makes everything easy and convenient. She picks up our dog at our house and drops him off at the end of the day. If something unexpected comes up and we need a dog sitter, she is super flexible and, when able, is happy to take our dog at a moment´s notice. Aldona loves dogs and it is so obvious that dogs love her. We highly recommend her.

As a solo hiker I often walk with my dog off leash. However when I see or hear another hiker coming I immediately leash my dog due to it being proper trail behaviour. The same can not be said for Aldona. I was standing near a stream that limited my hearing so I was unable to notice the 7 or so large unleashed dogs that had all crept up and now cornered my dog and I against a tree. Only after a few moments of standing there scared did Aldona finally make an appearance. Instead of recalling the dogs she continued to let them surround me and my terrified dog while she pushed her business on me going so far as asking me to take pictures of her logo for future use. Aldona has the magic touch with dogs! My Zoey (age9) has been with Aldona hike and play for 8 years now... as soon as s Zoey hears her name, hears Aldonas special text tone I’ve set on my phone , and sees her can Zoey GOES WILDLY CRAZY TAIL WAGGING HAPPY! Aldona is the best of the best 🐾🐾🙌💕
