Addison County Mobile Veterinary Services

We had to change mobile vets as our previous vet retired. Unfortunately I was overall disappointed with this visit. My cats have always been the most gentle, never aggressive, and they love company. When a male assistant scruffed him for a blood draw I did not feel that my cat was handled well or compassionately. The scruff appeared much too rough (skin on eyes and mouth were pulled back), my cat was expressing vocally that he was uncomfortable or in pain, but they did not loosen grip. This resulted in him attempting to bite the vet. I did not feel that this was skillful care being provided. I was also asked to pay an additional fee for them to come back to obtain bloodwork, I felt that this was a failed attempt on their end and it should not result in additional fees for me. I off

The compassion that they showed to both of our dogs was well beyond my expectation. My 12 year old and 7 1/2 year old labs have never liked going into the Vets office, and Addison County Mobile Veterinary Services came to our house in Richmond and showed them true service! Highly recommend!

Tried to get our dog spayed 4 different times. Each time the appointment kept getting delayed, cancelled, rescheduled. Appointments were set so far out she went into heat twice despite me saying, "seems kind of far out. Are you worried about her going into heat?". Changed work and school schedules and denied her food (and the other dog and cats because as a family we support each other) to get her ready for surgery only to have to be told, "sorry we need to try again". Nope going somewhere else. Brought our dog to another vet. She is NOT in heat. Her white blood cell count was up because she has an ear infection that was missed.

Highly recommend!! Last night, my Labrador got a pretty big gouge in her shoulder after running into a piece of steel. We were in between vets after the death of our regular vet, so we were very frantic on what to do. I was able to make contact with Megan and set up a visit in the morning. She and her tech arrived and doctored our girl up in the comfort of her couch, Very personable, friendly and altogether amazing experience. Pricing was very fair! I foresee a comfortable future for our three labs and our new vet after losing our beloved Dr Nancy!

We are in the process of providing end of life care for our pup - these guys have been so available, kind, and reassuring. Not only can we provide care in the backyard for our other dog, but our older dog will be in his home when he passes.
