Action For Animals Humane Society

Had my pup here just today for their low cost neuter services. When I originally called to schedule, I had to leave a voicemail. It stated someone would call back in 24-48 hours, and I absolutely received a call back within that time frame. I was able to get scheduled the following week (though I know that may not always be the case). I did not do the drop off - my husband did - but he said that experience went well. I picked him up and the staff were amazing. They explained everything in detail. I would highly recommend if you are looking for low cost options.

My cousin adopted the sweetest little dog today, that had been a breeder in a puppy mill. Those girls had the place spotless. The animals loved them! That speaks volumes. All shots and spaid were done. Complete background check on my cousin was done. Everyone was friendly, helpful and hard working. Wished I lived closer, so I could work there.

We just took our animals there for one of their vaccination clinics. This was our first time and I'm so glad we found out about this. The staff were very nice and caring and for the most part very organized. We were able to get all 4 of our cats all their vaccinations. Their rabies, distemper and even a leukemia vaccinations for about the price it would have costed us at a vet for just one cat. which allowed us to get additional vaccines ( the leukemia vaccination). Animals need homes shelters are full. These sorts of vaccination clinics should be done everywhere that way the money can be spent at the vet when it's absolutely necessary instead of getting ripped off at the vet for overpriced vaccination appointments. Overall the adoption process was super simple. I was looking for a dog that would pair well with my pit mix who's a little rough when he plays. I also wanted a dog that would bond with my partner easily. My boyfriend and I were able to walk around and meet the dogs outside to see a little bit of their personality. We needed up picking 2 dogs we wanted meet. When a member of the staff, Donald, had knowledge of which dogs we were looking at as options he let us know about both dogs individual personality and how they behave around. We were able to let the dog we ultimately chose meet our current dog. My boyfriend was super nervous about it so having so many of the people there helping with the whole meeting process.
