Ace's Gun Dog Kennels/Ace's Retrievers

I can’t say enough positive things about Ace and his team. I’ve gotten two labs from them and am confident that every duck dog I ever own will come from Ace… for as long as they’re around. I felt compelled to write a review, because I saw a few that completely contradict all my interactions. The first dog I purchased was a started dog. He handled wonderfully, was able to go out to 100+ yds on blind retrieves and casted off whistle by age 1.5. Around his second birthday, he was having knee issues. When I took him to the vet, they did some x rays and noticed he had dysplasia and an issue with his patella tendon. Upon leaving the vet, I called Ace to share the unfortunate news. Before I had even made it home from the vet, Ace had already arranged a time for me to come out to get another dog

I’m on my second started dog from Ace, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the quality of service, training, care, and support that Ace and his team provide. Ace has been an invaluable resource over the years, and I look forward to watching our new pup grow both in our home and in the duck blind. The care Ace’s team provides for their dogs and customers is simply unparalleled.

Ace and all his trainers are first class! Buck went on his first hunt of the year and he did better than I ever expected. Jarrett has been working with him and me as a handler, a really awesome experience with these guys. From obedience out the truck to picking up ducks in the tall grass of a flooded rice field, they had Buck prepared. Trust the Process!

We have had our dog, Pilot, from Ace’s for almost 5 years now. They breed the most beautiful labs, with incredibly loyal and gentle temperaments. We get so many compliments on his deep black coat and our vet raved about his health and build. He is just as great in the field on a hunt as he in the yard with the kids. I would recommend anyone who’s looking for a trained dog to consider Ace’s.

Ace I want to thank you for the great job you and your employees did in raising and training Rilee our started companion dog. She has been an absolute joy to have as a part of our family since April. She has adapted to her surroundings and loves new experiences and people. I am regularly complimented on how she is so well trained and beautiful. Once again thank you!
