Five stars is not enough for the wonderful experience we had with Jim and the Above the Standard team. Our dog Lily was chaos defined and they gave us back calm. She can now experience more with us and enjoy activities in a new way. The team kept us constantly updated with videos and text. Jim really took into account what we needed, not just a one train for every dog approach. They also take time as they train you to make sure you are comfortable and ready for this new dynamic with your dog. Lily is just thriving and we couldn’t be happier!

Jim at Above The Standard Dog Training was amazing with our dog, Scout! He kept us updated, clearly loves what he does, and truly cares about the dogs. We love that the training happens in the trainers’ home, it feels so much more personal and family-like as opposed to a kennel. Scout is now so much better behaved in public and we can enjoy taking him along on family outings. It's not a magic fix, we still have to continue practicing at home, but the foundation Jim gave us has truly changed our relationship with our dog for the better. This training amd breeding program is the best out there!! They need and trained my dapper gentleman Rouey who is a SD for Mobility, Stability, retrieval, and aniexty! Not only did they do an amazing job of raising Rou and making sure he was as desensitized as possible at a young age but they did an excellent job with the health testing and genetics when it came to the actual breeding!! They helped train not only my dog but myself! This way Rou and I were able to find a common way to communicate and build our bond! The compliments Rou and I get when we are out.
