About A Dog's Dream
A Dog’s Dream began after we saw a gap in placement for dogs retiring from commercial breeding operations. Too often, these dogs had nowhere to go once their breeding careers ended. At the same time, we met families eager to welcome adult dogs into... More

I adopted my sweet little Sunny Bunny from here (formly known as Amber) three months ago now. She was a retired breeding dog. You would never imagine how sweet, patient, loyal, and attentive retired breeding dogs can be. Georgia was very informative and answered all of the questions I had while also educating me on the responsible breeding world and their pricing. The breeders they work with treat their dogs with such love and care and it really shows. I got to witness it all first hand. I toured their facility, getting to meet all of the dogs. Every single one was eager to please and loving. I wish I could adopt them all! You can really tell these dogs are taken care of by the staff here. They know the ins and outs of every dogs personality, working closely with every single one of them e
I recently got a Dalmatian from these people for a price of $1,000. They told us he was crate trained, house trained, leash trained, and he had all of his vaccines, including Kennel cough. We were supposed to ship him to Germany because we are a military family. He did not pass the checkup to board a plane. He had kennel cough and was skin and bones, we could not figure out why! Turns out they gave us a big bag of old moldy food, which made him very very sick for weeks. We tested the food and it verified there was mold in it. He is just now getting better a month later. We even called them and explained what was going on, they refused to help with the vet bills and to even give a little of the money back. They continued to tell us we signed a contract and cannot get any kind of refund. The
This is an amazing non-profit organization that has a driven, forward moving purpose. They strive to complete the circle of responsible adoption by taking in retired breeder dogs and "perfectly imperfect" puppies, supplying them with the necessary shelter, enrichment, socialization and veterinary care they need before finding their loving fur-ever home. I've seen first hand how amazing these dogs are, as well as the staff, who are passionate, caring and dedicated to the well-being of these animals. BRAVO! Keep up the great work!
We found our sweet pup with this rescue a few months ago! The rescue had given flea/tick meds and heart worm preventative that they sent us home with a several month supply for- they also sent us with a bag of the food and sent a dog toy. They also gave us vet reports and had spay/neuter done prior to posting adoption availability, which was really nice to have already done. I happily recommend checking their rescue's availability if you're looking for a new family member!
A little over a month ago, I brought home Winston. I found him on Petfinder and fell absolutely in love. Everyone at A Dog’s Dream was very kind and provided me with all the information I needed upfront. Just before I brought him home, they informed me that, due to his prior situation, he hadn’t received proper grooming on his feet, which had led to hot spots. They took him to the vet beforehand and got him a week's worth of antibiotics and probiotics, which they sent me home with. They also provided me with a three-month supply of flea, tick, and heartworm medication. I also received the dog bed he came to them with, along with his favorite toy and a bag of his food. His feet are now fully healed, and he’s the sweetest boy. I’m so grateful to have found him. My experience with the shelter
