We are so beyond lucky to have found Anyssa at 4Paws Canine Training! She has been phenomenal with our two Aussiedoodles. Our 1-year-old girl is a ball of energy…too smart for her own good and always ready to play while our 5-year-old values her alone time and has every quirky trait you can imagine (she even runs away when we cough, haha!). They couldn’t be more opposite, yet Anyssa knew exactly how to bring out the best in both of them. What makes her stand out is that training isn’t just in one place. We recently got our 6 year old German Shepard mix back from Anyssa’s 6 week board and train program and we are extremely happy with her results. We went to Anyssa for leash reactivity and integrating a cat into the home. Walks in the neighborhood were stressful since we would just anticipate seeing another dog and Nala getting upset. Anyssa taught Nala and us how to disengage when she sees other dogs and even how to play with other dogs. Anyssa was completely transparent from the first meeting and gave us several options, but stressed that the board and train would be our best option for her level of reactivity. We had an amazing experience with 4 Paws Canine Training. We sent our 1-year-old dog, Lady, for the 6-week board and train program, and the results honestly exceeded our expectations. Before training, Lady struggled with jumping, being very territorial, pulling on the leash, having no recall, destroying things around the house, and even breaking out of her crate daily. From the very beginning, the team made us feel comfortable and confident leaving her in their care. Communication was excellent, and we received regular updates and videos throughout the program, which we really appreciated. The transformation has been incredible. Taz is a much better pup thanks to Anyssa at 4 Paws Canine Training. We thought Taz might be well suited to Therapy Dog work. So, we sent him to 4Paws for confirmation and obedience training. Additionally, socialization with dogs, adults, and children are very important. She encouraged us to proceed with Therapy Dog work when he was finished with his training. We saw Anyssa work Taz in all phases of this training via Instagram. We learned a lot while watching Taz work. It was great seeing him play with kids. The training paid off because a month later we took the GCC tests and passed on first take. Passing this test is a requirement for Therapy Dog work. Anyssa really likes her dogs. Anyssa was absolutely wonderful to work with. She caters all her training to what your dog needs. She taught our puppy to walk properly on a leash, wait to walk out the crate/door, how to play nicely, how to socialize with people and dogs and so much more. Our puppy loves seeing her and Bayleigh. I would recommend 4 paws training to anyone needing help in the Nashville area!
